a massive storm from alaska knocked the hell out of northern california , giving us a foot and a half of snow , snapping trees like matchsticks , crashing multiple electrical lines in the sierra mountains where we live.

knocking electric out for 6 days ( thus my dissapearing act from jwn for 6 days ) - we had a 90 ft. ponderosa pine tree ( 3ft, around ) crash on the lower end of our acre we live on .

it's still leaning on oak trees suspended in time.

Flipper what the hell is S.N.O.W??? We lost power for a day 9-5pm........by 3pm I was suicidal! I read a book in my backyard. A BOOOK for God's sake....and not on my I-Phone I had to turn REAL pages!

if most jw's are window washers, what other occupations are considered the type of jobs that a witless would have.

The one Brother I spoke to at the Convention this year.....have a guess what he does......WINDOW CLEANING! I nearly choked on my lunch. The guy cleaning the windows at our coffee shop had an Awake in his back pocket!

If you ask them 89% will confirm they are Witnesses......56% will confirm they Pioneer. I did it for 5 years.

i was looking through some old photographs the other day,my wife and i are not that organised with photo`s,we have boxes of them that we never put in albums,and we have been married nearing 50 years ,so you can imagine we have a few.in the early 60`s when i was converted their was an article in a watchtower dealing with the clergys involvement with nazi germany during world war 2 .being newly converted i had some long discussions with my brother inlaw,who was a catholic, about religion.so when this magazine came out i wrote to the branch office in strathfield enquiring whether i could obtain the photos proving this.not long after i received 4 photo`s from the branch office in strathfield providing this evidence.at the time i didn`t think to much about it.but now 50 years later i think why would they give a newly baptised person this?

(i know they would look for any opportunity to bag catholics then and now ) i have the original envelope from strathfield to me but the postage stamp is missing however the return adress is clearly identifiable.on the back of the photo`s is some information presumably in german and english translation.1.new years reception by hitler 2.hitler greets lutheran reichs bishop muller,3.papstliche gcandte nuutius vasallo di fowegrossa( papal representative)4.on return of saar to germany r.c.bishops von trier and speyer giving nazi salute.has anybody else ever had a similar experience,being given documents from the society,that years down the track ,think,why would they?.

I wrote to afew Bethels around the world asking for penpals as a kid....they all told me basically to P#ss off except an Israel Bethelite who wrote me a nice personal letter......he no doubt got disfellowshiped for not following the societies guidelines.

i had a wonderful thanksgiving with my husband's family and we spent the night.

the next morning we had a good breakfast and decorated the tree.

and my mother in law (my husband's step mom, who i adore and love) gave out early christmas gifts... ornaments, and a wow wow huge christmas cross to hang on the wall!
